We have a new addition to Fighting Chance, and if you look down the right hand side of the page you will see the logo for the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research.  For those readers who have been with us for a while, you will remember this post that I wrote over the summer on the day of the V Foundation Auction on ESPN Radio (http://www.fightingchancefantasy.com/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=404).  Like I said then on that day, I always feel compelled to do more to try to help, but being financially unable to do much with two little kids, I usually just ended up doing what most people do, and that is nothing.  However, now that I have this vehicle to reach out to people, I thought that I would make an attempt to do a little more.  So, I emailed the V Foundation and within a couple of days I got a response and the wheels were in motion for this partnership (Special thanks to Sherrie Mazur for being VERY helpful and prompt).  Now, I’m not trying to pressure anyone, but if you are able to do so, you can click on the V Foundation logo and that will take you directly to their site where you may give a donation to help fight cancer.  ANY amount is appreciated and it all goes directly to research.  This is a world-class organization, and you don’t have to worry that it is going in someone else’s pocket.  I’m sure that everyone who is reading this knows at least one or more people who have either passed away or was diagnosed with this awful disease.  It doesn’t matter who you are, man, woman, or child.  So, if we can all just do a small part, perhaps we can someday find a cure for quite possibly the worst affliction of our time.  Thank you very much for all who at least take the time to read this.
