Balester Struggles In Second Start
Since everyone is always looking for young pitching help at this time of year, just wanted to throw out this line of caution against rookie Collin Balester. I would definitely look elsewhere for help for two reasons. One, Balester had decent minors numbers, but nothing that would have your jaw droppping. Second, playing for the Nationals isn’t going to do him any favors. If he gives up two or three runs, that most likely will be enough to hang him with a loss on most days pitching in Washington. My guess is there are better options than Balester in free agency.
