Volquez Continues To “Struggle”
For the third consecutive start, Edinson Volquez has allowed at least three earned runs, even though he earned his 11th win of the season. Is this just a slight chink in the armor? Or is Volquez proving that he is a mere mortal, capable of less than perfect starts? Like I’ve been saying for a while, Volquez will have a great rest of the season, but he will certainly not keep up the pace he has set for himself over the course of this season. Feel free to continue to start him with confidence.
