Justin Upton Back On Track?
After going through an extended period of struggling, it appears that Justin Upton might be on the road back to stardom. After hitting five homers in the season’s first two weeks, Upton was stuck on just nine coming into July. Well, so far the Independence weekend has been good to young Justin, as he has connected on two more homers in just the first five days of the month. I still have some hopes that Upton will produce in the second half, but chances are it will fall somewhere between the highs of those first couple of weeks, and the low of watching his average fall below .240. Keeper leagues, don’t even think of letting this guy slip through the cracks.
I’d like to pick up Upton in my 16-team league, but I already have Hamilton, Sizemore, Granderson with Gomez as my backup. I may pick up Hawpe in a bit, but his inconsistancies have been driving me crazy.

Long term I like Upton much more than Hawpe, but with Hamilton, Sizemore and Granderson, do you really have a need for anyone else out there? His talent is tough to pass up, but unless it is a keeper league it sounds like you are all set in the OF. Unless of course he starts on another streak like he did in the beginning of the year, then grab him quickly.
