Miggy Smashes 2 Homeruns
Miguel Cabrera was 4-4 tonight with 2 HR and 3 RBI. So after going much of the first half in a disappointing haze, just like the Tigers team, Cabrera seems to be coming around. The stellar night brings Cabrera’s numbers up to a much more respectable: .291 15 and 53. Carry that out and you get another 30+, 100+ season.
It’s hard to believe that Cabrera is still only 25 years old (as long as his birth certificate is accurate). He’s still young and adjusting to a new league. Look for his numbers to be very good, once again at the end of the year. If you can still get him at a bit of a discount, do so and be rewarded in the second half. The Tigers are poised to make a run in the second half, and that offense is starting to come around. That means lots of RBI and runs scored opportunities.
