Mike Pelfrey Dominant Tonight
Don’t look now, but Mike Pelfrey has won 5 straight starts! Tonight, Pelfrey out-dueled second year sensation Tim Lincecum. Granted it was against the punchless Giants, but five straight wins is tough to ignore.
Pelfrey struck out five and walked none over the course of seven very solid innings. He only let up three hits and two of them were of the infield variety. He has been getting a ton of run support, and in return showing you what he can do, when he’s on his game. Pelfrey’s development is beginning to show. Hopefully it can carry into a strong second half, after this performance it’s tough to believe it won’t.
