It’s time for another quick game of “Who closed the game?” Our first contestant is the New York Mets. Billy Wagner is on a rehab assignment, but for the time being they are still trying to piece together the 9th inning. Well, tonight Aaron Heilman came into the game in the ninth and……..got the save! Heilman walked a batter but didn’t allow…
Francisco Liriano won again in his second start since coming back from the minors. And although he hasn’t been near the dominant pitcher we saw two years ago, he has been more than an effective starter. Liriano lasted 5.2 innings, allowed three runs, walked two and struck out five. It isn’t the dominating outings he had at AAA, but I still think that…
