Fighting Chance Fantasy Mock Draft #6

On August 17th nine of the finer folks in the fantasy football industry joined Steve, Patrick and myself for the sixth installment of our weekly mock drafts. Again we had an awesome group, the draft flew, and a good time was had by all. Be sure to track each of our drafts to notice trends, and guys heading up boards, and some falling down. Also, these people are all great so do yourself a favor and follow them on Twitter. I did. You won't be sorry. Also, be sure to purchase Joe Pisapia's book, The Fantasy Black Book, that you can find on Amazon. The link to it is with each of his picks. Without and further noise, here are the participants that joined us and their picks. Oh, I should mention that about Round 5, Paige had some bad computer trouble and couldn't stay in the draft room. So at about that point it went on autodraft so that will explain some of the later round picks lol

Round 1

Round/Pick Team Player
1.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals
1.2 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Le'Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
1.3 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
1.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Odell Beckham Jr., WR, New York Giants
1.5 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) LeSean McCoy, RB, Buffalo Bills
1.6 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons
1.7 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1.8 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
1.9 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Devonta Freeman, RB, Atlanta Falcons
1.10 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Melvin Gordon, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
1.11 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Jordan Howard, RB, Chicago Bears
1.12 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Jordy Nelson, WR, Green Bay Packers

This is our sixth mock draft, and I think this is the first one where I am not surprised by any pick. In fact this might be exactly how I would pick my top 12. The only changes I would make is I like Mike Evans, who went to Rachel Wold, a couple of picks higher, and I like Melvin Gordon in front of Devonta Freeman. But even with that being said, I think every pick here makes sense, and is a logical representation of how the first round should go.

Round 2

Round/Pick Team Player
2.1 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Michael Thomas, WR, New Orleans Saints
2.2 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Jay Ajayi, RB, Miami Dolphins
2.3 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Demarco Murray, RB, Tennessee Titans
2.4 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Houston Texans
2.5 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Dallas Cowboys
2.6 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots
2.7 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Amari Cooper, WR, Oakland Raiders
2.8 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts
2.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Todd Gurley, RB, Los Angeles Rams
2.10 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Christian McCaffrey, RB, Carolina Panthers
2.11 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Doug Baldwin, WR, Seattle Seahawks
2.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Dez Bryant, WR, Dallas Cowboys

I was wondering who was going to do it when, and it turns out that it was Alex Hamrick at pick 2.05. You know what I am talking about. When was Ezekiel Elliott going to be drafted. The Cowboy back suspended for six games, still holds a great draft value. I'm not sure if Alex thinks he's that good starting in Week 8, or if he feels the suspension is going to be reduced. Paige Dimakos took DeAndre Hopkins and I applaud the pick. Sometimes when you like a player you just have to say let the ADP be damned! Especially if you think the guy will go before your next pick. And there were a lot of picks between Paige and her next selection in Round 3. I also remain high on Amari Cooper who went to Nick Mariano as an even bigger breakout star than last year. I am still on the Todd Gurley bandwagon as Jared Goff looks a little more under control this year. And I finished out with a receiver that I have in my top ten in Dez Bryant. I think people are afraid of the passing game failing without Ezekiel Elliott running the ball for half of the year, but Dez is going to get his either way, and with that offensive line Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden should pick up a lot of the slack.

Round 3

Round/Pick Team Player
3.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Allen Robinson, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
3.2 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Brandin Cooks, WR, New England Patriots
3.3 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Dalvin Cook, RB, Minnesota Vikings
3.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Terrelle Pryor, WR, Washington Redskins
3.5 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers
3.6 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Leonard Fournette, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
3.7 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Isaiah Crowell, RB, Cleveland Browns
3.8 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Lamar Miller, RB, Houston Texans
3.9 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
3.10 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots
3.11 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Demaryius Thomas, WR, Denver Broncos
3.12 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers

I took Allen Robinson to start the third round. Robinson is a guy I really like, but I am starting to worry about the quarterback situation being so bad, that maybe I might have taken Terrelle Pryor or Brandin Cooks, who were the next two receivers taken. Shooting up draft boards, Dalvin Cook continues to be a hot name on draft boards, and at this point I don’t think taking him in the third round is a bad pick. I expect him to be the most productive rookie of the three big backs. Aaron Rodgers went in the third, as quarterbacks seem to be creeping up a little in our drafts as we get closer. Rodgers is the best, so no shame in this pick. Tom Brady also went in this round, who I have ultra close to Rodgers in my rankings, so Ron Rigney gets a winner too. In PPR formats, Demaryius Thomas should be a beast and have 90-95 catches and at best have ten touchdowns. I find him to be just outside of my top 12 receivers, but if you go RB-RB in your first two rounds, he’s a great consolation prize to start your receiving corps.

Round 4

Round/Pick Team Player
4.1 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs
4.2 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Greg Olsen, TE, Carolina Panthers
4.3 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Alshon Jeffery, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
4.4 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Golden Tate, WR, Detroit Lions
4.5 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Carlos Hyde, RB, San Francisco 49ers
4.6 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints
4.7 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Ty Montgomery, RB, Green Bay Packers
4.8 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati Bengals
4.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Jarvis Landry, WR, Miami Dolphins
4.10 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Michael Crabtree, WR, Oakland Raiders
4.11 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Marshawn Lynch, RB, Oakland Raiders

The fourth round was started by Travis Kelce by Patrick Wisniewski. I’m starting to see Kelce go in front of Gronkowski in some drafts I’ve done, so I see this as a pretty good value with Kelce not having as much injury concern as Gronk. Nick Mariano took Ty Montgomery who I really like, but who needs to get healthy fast. He has some competition for his job, which shouldn’t be a problem if he gets back on the field and performs. I like Montgomery as a fourth rounder and your second back. Paul Lipko took Joe Mixon who you are either ultra high on, or off the bandwagon. He looked very impressive in the last preseason game, we will have to see if he can overtake Jeremy Hill early and earn this value. I am liking John Laub’s pick of Stefon Diggs more and more. Even with the offense running like crap last year, Diggs did well. He should be able to repeat or better last year’s stats.

Round 5

Round/Pick Team Player
5.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Spencer Ware, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
5.2 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Tyreek Hill, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
5.3 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Brandon Marshall, WR, New York Giants
5.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Martavis Bryant, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
5.5 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Julian Edelman, WR, New England Patriots
5.6 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) C.J. Anderson, RB, Denver Broncos
5.7 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Carolina Panthers
5.8 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Sammy Watkins, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
5.9 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta Falcons
5.10 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona Cardinals
5.11 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints
5.12 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Ameer Abdullah, RB, Detroit Lions

I took Spencer Ware to start Round 5 just as much because of the position starting to thin out as I did because I believe in him. He will have to deal with rookie Kareem Hunt, but I still think Ware holds the job. It’s a lot of picks before I go again so I wanted to be sure to get a competent running back. I’m still scared of Martavis Bryant going this high, but if you want him, here’s what you will have to pay for him. Brandon Marshall, Julian Edelman (who was a steal here for John Lipko), and Larry Fitzgerald are all wildly good picks. I probably like Edelman and Fitz over Marshall, but I do think that Marshall is going to be better than people think.

Round 6

Round/Pick Team Player
6.1 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Doug Martin, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
6.2 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Willie Snead, WR, New Orleans Saints
6.3 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Tevin Coleman, RB, Atlanta Falcons
6.4 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Jimmy Graham, TE, Seattle Seahawks
6.5 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Jamison Crowder, WR, Washington Redskins
6.6 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) LeGarrette Blount, RB, Philadelphia Eagles,
6.7 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Tyler Eifert, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
6.8 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Denver Broncos
6.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Mike Gillislee, RB, New England Patriots
6.10 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Danny Woodhead, RB, Baltimore Ravens
6.11 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Bilal Powell, RB, New York Jets
6.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Donte Moncrief, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Doug Martin started Round 6 to Pat Wisniewski. He will be suspended for three games, but if Martin can be the guy he has been in other times in his career he could be good value. Big touchdown potential backs went later in the round with LeGarrette Blount to Rachel Wold and Mike Gillislee to Steve for the fifth time in six drafts. Geez Steve and Gillislee, get a room! Another couple of tight ends in Tyler Eifert and Jimmy Graham were taken. Eifert has serious injury history, but when he is healthy he is a touchdown machine. I finished off the round with Donte Moncrief. Dude has the chance to be a beast, as long as Andrew Luck stays healthy!

Round 7

Round/Pick Team Player
7.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Jordan Reed, TE, Washington Redskins
7.2 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Paul Perkins, RB, New York Giants
7.3 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Eric Decker, WR, Tennessee Titans
7.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Kyle Rudolph, TE, Minnesota Vikings
7.5 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Adrian Peterson, RB, New Orleans Saints
7.6 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks
7.7 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins
7.8 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Frank Gore, RB, Indianapolis Colts
7.9 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Derrick Henry, RB, Tennessee Titans
7.10 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Delanie Walker, TE, Tennessee Titans
7.11 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Pierre Garcon, WR, San Francisco 49ers
7.12 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Randall Cobb, WR, Green Bay Packers

Speaking of oft-injured tight ends I took Jordan Reed. The tight ends I really like were gone, and I don’t normally take Reed but I took the chance this time, knowing I would need to take another tight end soon. I liked John Laub’s pick of Paul Perkins as I think he will take control as the Giants lead back. Eric Decker’s role in Tennessee is still a bit of a question mark because he hasn’t played with them really yet, but he is talented and I think this is good value for him. John LaPresto went with Pierre Garcon which I think is also solid. Garcon will be the lead receiver in Kyle Shanahan’s offense in San Francisco, and even if they don’t score a ton of points, Garcon will get a lot of targets and catches.

Round 8

Round/Pick Team Player
8.1 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
8.2 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Kareem Hunt, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
8.3 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Adam Theilin, WR, Minnesota Vikings
8.4 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Eddie Lacy, RB, Seattle Seahawks
8.5 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Jeremy Maclin, WR, Baltimore Ravens
8.6 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Theo Riddick, RB, Detroit Lions
8.7 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Duke Johnson, RB, Cleveland Browns
8.8 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Rob Kelley, RB, Washington Redskins
8.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Cameron Meredith, WR, Chicago Bears
8.10 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Corey Davis, WR, Tennessee Titans
8.11 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) C.J. Prosise, RB, Seattle Seahawkw
8.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Tyrell Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Patrick Wisniewski got his quarterback in Round 8 with Jameis Winston. It is great to wait until halfway through the draft and still get a high quality starter. I like Rachel Wold’s pick of Theo Riddick. If he can stay  healthy I think he could get a bunch of carries to go with his catch potential. I also think that Rob Kelley who went to Paul Lipko can hold of rookie Samaje Perine. A great pick in the eighth round. My favorite pick was mine of Tyrell Williams. I know, so humble of me. But Williams broke out in a big way this year, and I expect him to be just as successful as last year, and maybe more so. Even with Keenan Allen healthy (for now), I think Williams will top 80 catches and eight touchdowns.

Round 9

Round/Pick Team Player
9.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Hunter Henry, TE, Los Angeles Chargers
9.2 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Zach Ertz, TE, Los Angeles Chargers
9.3 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Matt Forte, RB, New York Jets
9.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins
9.5 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Zay Jones, WR, Buffalo Bills
9.6 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Kenny Britt, WR, Cleveland Browns
9.7 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) DeSean Jackson, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
9.8 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Darren McFadden, RB, Dallas Cowboys
9.9 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Kansas City Chiefs D/ST
9.10 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Terrance West, RB, Baltimore Ravens
9.11 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Corey Coleman, WR, Cleveland Browns
9.12 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Thomas Rawls, RB, Seattle Seahawks

I started Round 9 with my second tight end since I took Reed, and I picked Hunter Henry, but now I think John Laub had the better pick after me with Zach Ertz. Philly isn’t exactly loaded with receivers, so Ertz could have a big year. With the departure of Anquan Boldin, John Lipko’s pick of Zay Jones looks like MONEY! Rachel Wold also grabbing DeSean Jackson this late looks good too. Ron Rigney went with running back depth with Baltimore’s Terrance West, and I think this late, that’s pretty good.

Round 10

Round/Pick Team Player
10.1 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) James White, RB, New England Patriots
10.2 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Sterling Shepard, WR, New York Giants
10.3 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Robby Anderson, WR, New York Jets
10.4 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Stephen Gostkowski, K, New England Patriots
10.5 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis Colts
10.6 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Marvin Jones, WR, Detroit Lions
10.7 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Cole Beasley, WR, Dallas Cowboys
10.8 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Jonathan Stewart, RB, Carolina Panthers
10.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Jeremy Hill, RB, Cincinnati Bengals
10.10 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Martellus Bennett, TE, Green Bay Packers
10.11 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Mike Wallace, WR, Baltimore Ravens
10.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Chris Thompson, RB, Washington Redskins

Shocking that with his injury concerns that Andrew Luck falls all the way to the 10th round. Alex Hamrick got himself a heck of a pick there. Ron Rigney took Robby Anderson figuring SOMEONE has to catch the ball for the Jets! If they keep using veteran Josh McCown at quarterback, Anderson could have some value. Steve took Jeremy Hill in a pick I wholeheartedly agree with. Joe Mixon looks good, but Hill will still be the starter at least to begin the year and has had a knack for finding the end zone throughout his career. Solid pick this late Steve!

Round 11

Round/Pick Team Player
11.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Derek Carr, QB, Oakland Raiders
11.2 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers
11.3 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Marcus Mariota, QB, Tennessee Titans
11.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Rishard Matthews, WR, Tennessee Titans
11.5 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Ted Ginn Jr, WR, New Orleans Saints
11.6 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Josh Doctson, WR, Washington Redskins
11.7 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Jonathan Williams, RB, Buffalo Bills
11.8 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Eric Ebron, TE, Detroit Lions
11.9 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Matthew Stafford, QB, Detroit Lions
11.10 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) John Brown, WR, Arizona Cardinals
11.11 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Jamaal Williams, RB, Green Bay Packers
11.12 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) New England Patriots D/ST

Quarterbacks were the way to go in Round 11 and I got one of my faves in Derek Carr. Cam Newton, and then Marcus Mariota followed. All three should be top 12 fantasy quarterbacks, and are great later round picks. Paul Lipko took one of my wide receiver sleepers in Ted Ginn, and two Williams’ backup runners, Jonathan and Jamaal, were also solid picks. Jonathan backs up LeSean McCoy in Buffalo, and Jamaal is behind Ty Montgomery in Green Bay. If Ty doesn’t get healthy soon, we could be seeing more of Jamaal than we thought. Nice pick by John LaPresto.

Round 12

Round/Pick Team Player
12.1 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Joe Williams, RB, San Francisco 49ers
12.2 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants
12.3 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Giovani Bernard, RB, Cincinnati Bengals
12.4 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Samaje Perine, RB, Washington Redskins
12.5 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Philip Rivers, QB, Los Angeles Chargers
12.6 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Denver Broncos D/ST
12.7 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) DeAndre Washington, RB, Oakland Raiders
12.8 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Austin Hooper, TE, Atlanta Falcons
12.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Houston Texans D/ST
12.10 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Kenny Golladay, WR, Detroit Lions
12.11 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Justin Tucker, K, Baltimore Ravens
12.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Kenny Stills, WR, Miami Dolphins

In all honesty I found Round 12 to be kind of boring. Pat Wisniewski went with hot rookie Joe Williams in San Fran, John LaPresto took Eli Manning to be his starting quarterback (I like Eli too and feel like I’m in the minority), and Alex Hamrick took Philip Rivers in case Andrew Luck can’t stay healthy. The most interesting pick is probably Samaje Perine by Paige Dimakos. It is still up in the air who will be the starting running back in Washington. It looks like Rob Kelley will at least start the year, but Perine has already shown explosiveness in the preseason. I think he is a great late round pick here. Jos Pisapia went with everyone’s favorite late round receiver in Kenny Golladay the rookie in Detroit. If Marvin Jones does a disappearing act again this season like he did last year, Golladay could be a force.

Round 13

Round/Pick Team Player
13.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
13.2 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Minnesota Vikings D/ST
13.3 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) D'Onta Foreman, RB, Houston Texans
13.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Matt Bryant, K, Atlanta Falcons
13.5 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) New York Giants D/ST
13.6 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Robert Woods, WR, Los Angeles Rams
13.7 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys
13.8 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) J.J. Nelson, WR, Arizona Cardinals
13.9 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) O.J. Howard, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
13.10 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Atlanta Falcons D/ST
13.11 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Jordan Matthews, WR, Buffalo Bills
13.12 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Mason Crosby, K, Green Bay Packers

Round 13 started with me taking Jacquizz Rodgers. I was surprised he was still around at this point and will definitely take him as a guy I could use in the beginning of the season and hope that he does enough to get a role all year. John Laub took the Minnesota defense, which should be one of the strongest this year. Joe Pisapia took D’Onta Foreman. I’m not a huge Lamar Miller fan, and if something happens to Miller, Foreman could come in right away and do very well. Paul Lipko took the defense I am targeting the most in the Giants. Finally, Nick Mariano went with a receiver that I think has a chance to have his best season with Robert Woods. The targets with the Rams got a little more complex with Sammy Watkins coming in, but he’s never healthy anyway. Look for Woods to be a reliable receiver for Jared Goff.

Round 14

Round/Pick Team Player
14.1 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Jack Doyle, TE, Indianapolis Colts
14.2 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Seattle Seahawks D/ST
14.3 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Adam Vinatieri, K, Indianapolis Colts
14.4 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Kevin White, WR, Chicago Bears
14.5 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Dustin Hopkins, K, Washington Redskins
14.6 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Dan Bailey, K, Dallas Cowboys
14.7 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Sebastian Janikowski, K, Oakland Raiders
14.8 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams
14.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Rex Burkhead, RB, New England Patriots
14.10 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Arizona Cardinals D/ST
14.11 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
14.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Pittsburgh Steelers D/ST

With more people picking their kicker and defense earlier in this draft, there was actually some players taken in the last two rounds. John Laub took his backup quarterback in Andy Dalton in the 14th round, which is a great value to get such a quality backup at that late stage of the draft. Steve took both Cooper Kupp and Rex Burkhead in the last two rounds. Kupp is the high upside rookie receiver for the Rams, and Burkhead could have some sneaky PPR value in the New England backfield. Rachel Wold grabbed Charles Sims in the late round for his potential value in the Tampa backfield if he can make some hay while Doug Martin is suspended. Ron Rigney went with Tyler Lockett who has explosive abilities at wide receiver, and Patrick Wisniewski ended things off with Jack Doyle as a very good backup tight end, and rookie receiver John Ross who has gotten off to a slow start with an injury, but is on the mend and could have an impact.

Round 15

Round/Pick Team Player
15.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Wil Lutz, K, New Orleans Saints
15.2 John Laub, Football Diehards (@GridironSchol91) Nelson Agholor, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
15.3 Joe Pisapia, Fantasy Black Book (@JoePisapia17) Brandon McManus, K, Denver Broncos
15.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Julius Thomas, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars
15.5 Paul Lipko, The Point After Show (@TheFFAdvantage) Chris Boswell, K, Pittsburgh Steelers
15.6 Nick Mariano, RotoBaller (@NMariano53) Tampa Bay Buccaneers D/ST
15.7 Rachel Wold, Sportsnaut (@liveocgirl) Charles Sims, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
15.8 Alex Hamrick, Fantasy Six Pack (@AlexBHamrick) Carolina Panthers D/ST
15.9 Paige Dimakos, Fanrag Sports (@The_SportsPaige) Jamaal Charles, RB, Denver Broncos
15.10 Ron Rigney, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@therealmaday) Tyler Lockett, WR, Seattle Seahawks
15.11 John LaPresto, So-Called Fantasy Experts (@TheJohnLaPresto) Matt Prater, K, Detroit Lions
15.12 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) John Ross, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
