NASCAR Pala Casino 400

Good morning, race fans!  It's time for the Pala Casino 400 at Fontana, California! The oldest racing surface in the series laid down in 1997, likely sees her last racing action before going under the knife to become a short track. With all of the rain, look for lots of wrinkles for this event, however, drivers that are skilled at managing tire wear and maneuvering with reduced grip are going to shine.

No cars are reported to start at the rear.  The weather looks like a 15% chance of rain for when the green flag drops at 3:00EST today.  Start your engines!

I'll be playing in Draft Kings this week. If you're new to the NASCAR DFS world, here's a quick summary of how scoring is done:

Look for a mix of drivers that fit the following:

Start upfront and can potentially lead a lot of laps.

Good drivers starting farther back can pass many cars and finish with a strong differential.

Drivers starting up front I like:
Alex Bowman, Joey Logano

Drivers with great differential potential and could lead laps:
Austin Dillon, Kurt Busch

Drivers with great differential points, and possible top finishes:
Erik Jones, William Byron

Most likely to be chalk plays:
Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott

It's going to be very tough to beat the chalk of Chase Elliott and Kyle Busch this week, but notable equivalents of Austin Dillon and Tyler Reddick can help go against the grain and save some salary.

Pala Casino 400 Winner  Alex Bowman
Best Bet for a solid finish Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch
Dark Horse Differentiators Erik Jones, Austin Dillon
Chalk Plays Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott

My DFS Line-up Today:

DK Chrome Horn 150K

Other Picks and props:

Fanduel Alex Bowman +2000 Outright, Austin Cindric +7500 (Cindric sat on the pole last year)

Fanduel Austin Dillon Top 3 +1200 (finished 2nd last year and is good on these types of tracks)

NASCAR Fantasy Live:

After a bad showing at Daytona last week, I'm pulling no punches to climb back into it. Here's who I have in my NASCAR Fantasy Live Pool this week:

One-and-done Games:

If you are in any one-and-done pools, I'm going with Austin Dillon. Erik Jones and Tyler Reddick could be great picks as well.  Joey Logano is a good choice if you're way behind.
