Rouff Mortgage 500 at Phoenix Raceway Raceday Picks
Good morning, race fans! It's time for the Ruoff Mortgage 500. Practice and qualifying were fairly quiet this week. Kyle Larson will start at the rear due to an unapproved steering system repair. Look for him to pile on the advancement points in DFS today.
No other cars are reported to start at the rear. The weather looks good for when the green flag drops at 3:49EST today. Start your engines!
NASCAR DFS
I'll be playing in Draft Kings this week. If you're new to the NASCAR DFS world, here's a quick summary of how scoring is done:

Look for a mix of drivers that fit the following: Start upfront and can potentially lead a lot of laps. Good drivers starting farther back can pass a lot of cars and finish with a strong differential. Drivers starting up front I like: Drivers with a great differential potential and could lead laps: Drivers with great differential points, and possible top finishes: Most likely to be chalk plays:

This is an especially tough week to try and find an edge. Kyle Larson's salary is sky high, and once again he'll be starting at the rear of the field. I'm fading the chalk this week because I see better values with drivers carrying momentum and are at a track their skillset is better suited to.

If you are in any one-and-done pools, I'm going with Aric Almirola. Reddick is also a good choice, but I like using Reddick at Homestead later in the spring. Ross Chastain is also a solid pick for today. If you're way behind, start Joey Logano or Denny Hamlin.
