Player Props: Week 4

I waited until Week 3 of the NFL season to resurrect this column and by hitting on four of my five suggested player props, it was worth the wait. I really had a hard time finding three player props that I liked for Week 4. I had to dig deep and even included a couple of any time TD scorers in this article, but I’m ready to keep the momentum moving in the right direction. These are six of my favorite player props for Week 4.

Please remember that gambling is super risky and you should only use funds that you can afford to lose.

Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys

Under 235.5 rushing yards

It’s going to be a crazy atmosphere in Dallas this week as Micah Parsons makes his triumphant return against his old team. Parsons and Cowboys QB Dak Prescott are friends but it sounds like it’ll be business as usual as he’ll be looking to do what he does best, and that is sack QBs. With Prescott being under pressure for most of the night, facing a Packers pass defense that’s allowing just 189 passing yards per game, the under 235.5 passing yards prop feels right this week.

Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers

Over 235.5 rushing yards

Staying in Dallas, Jordan Love should feast against a Cowboys pass defense that has been torched for an average of 374 passing yards over the past two weeks. Look for Love to bounce back in Week 4 after being held in check by the Cleveland Browns in Week 3 for just 183 passing yards. This game should be a laugher for Love and the Packers.

David Montgomery, RB, Detroit Lions

Under 46.5 rushing yards

Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are make up the best RB tandem in football today. Montgomery’s 230lb frame supplies the thunder out of the Lions backfield and Gibbs strikes like lightning just about every week. Unfortunately, there is no thunder or lightning in the forecast for Detroit today. Montgomery and Gibbs take on the Cleveland Browns who have a very stingy run defense. The most rushing yards the Browns have given up to an NFL running back this season was 43 to the Cincinnati Bengals RB Chase Brown. Montgomery is good at finding the end zone and might be able to sneak in a rushing TD but he’s going to have to fight hard for every yard he gains on the ground and there probably won’t be too many of them.

J.K. Dobbins, RB, Denver Broncos

Any time TD scorer

Dobbins has really grabbed hold of the Broncos’ backfield and is clearly the team’s RB1. He has scored a TD in each of his first three games this season and with the Bengals giving up 4.47 YPC to RBs and five total TDs to the position, Dobbins should have a big Monday night game. Look for him to punch in at least one TD before the night is over.

Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Over 71.5 rushing yards

With Najee Harris suffering a season ending Achilles injury Hampton has the Chargers’ backfield all to himself. His coming out party couldn’t feature a better opponent than a New York Giants run defense that is giving up 5.18 YPC to opposing RBs. Hampton will likely have his first 100 rushing yard game of his career taking him easily over the 71.5 rushing prop.

Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Any time TD scorer

The Giants haven’t been much better at keeping NFL wide receivers in check either so Allen, who has a TD in each of his first three games of the season should be able to keep his streak going. Allen is one of Chargers QB Justin Herbert’s most reliable go-to receivers so far this season. He’s already been targeted 28 times this season and has 19 receptions.
